Imagine a tropical utopia, an ecological experiment created by people from around the globe. Adventure Island, Fiji is searching for tribe members. 5,000 people are being given the chance to join a unique tribe and help build both an online and real-life eco-community.
UK entrepreneurs Mark James and Ben Keene have created the ultimate adventure. The intrepid travellers and online enthusiasts are behind the tribewanted concept which sees people from across the world meeting via an online community to develop an actual island society. James and Keene place a strong emphasis on the reality aspect of this adventure; it is not a reality TV show, but a real life experience.
Tribe members will form, shape and actively develop the Adventure Island community. Not only will tribe members influence the creation of an ecological island community, but can visit and stay on one of the most beautiful islands on earth. History is been made in the South Pacific with Adventure Island dwellers united by the one common goal; to create an environmentally friendly island haven that operates cohesively with the local community.
STA Travel have partnered with James and Keene to help make this dream a reality. If you want to join the tribe, STA Travel can offer travel advice to help reach Adventure Island Fiji.
Managing Director Euan Friday says Adventure Island offers the young traveller a completely new, history making, travel experience.
"STA Travel partnered tribewanted so the young Australian traveller could combine experiential travel with a positive environmental end goal whilst staying on one of the most beautiful islands in the South Pacific. It is exciting for STA Travel to be a part of an initiative which is dedicated to giving back to the community whilst providing tribe members with a unique travel experience."
The project is endorsed by the local chief, Tui Mal and his family for a three year period. Adventure Island will create jobs for local people and tribe members will assist with local community projects. A maximum of 100 tribe members will be allowed on the island at one time which will help maintain an ecological balance.
