Our mates at Flying Fish offer you the opportunity to undertake a training course at their centre in Whistler, Canada, so that you can become a qualified snowboard or ski instructor – The perfect solution for a Gap year or career break!
Courses are 3, 6 or 11 weeks in duration depending on your previous experience. You can start working abroad, earn some good money, & expand on your experiences as you go!
All courses lead to the internationally respected Canadian Ski Instructors Association (CSIA) qualifications, which means that holders can work qualified in ski resorts all around the world. Flying Fish have a full time recruitment team dedicated to helping you find the job of your dreams as soon as you qualify.
All courses start with 2 weeks of intensive ski / snowboard training in preparation for week 3, the Level 1 Instructor Course.
The 6 week course continues with 2 weeks of skills improvement in preparation for Level 2, Freestyle Instructor Certification in the final week.
The 10 week course includes race training, race coaching techniques, mountain safety and survival, avalanche awareness, injury prevention and tuning.
