What's happening overseas?

This page is dedicated to STA's extended family, and the cool things they're doing overseas.

STA Travel has branches in the UK, US, New Zealand and South Africa to name a few. And just like most families we like to compete against each other for your attention. There's nothing like a bit of healthy rivalry right.

Watch this space below for our most recent crazy specials, offers, comps or stunts initiated by our overseas branches in attempt to out do each other - how far will they go.

Game on mole!

Apparently the Poms have regained a little pride in the current Ashes series. The pride of the weasel when employing time-wasting tactics is a curious thing.

Then they celebrate one measely win with cut-price tickets to Australia to gloat… and they say that we’re the ones with no class?

Enough of the Ricky bashing. It’s on like Donkey Kong. Don’t forget we’ve won the last 9 out of 10 series. Let them have their battle, we’ll win the war. Get your cheapflight to London here to cheer the boys on.

The '£10 pom' is back!

That's right you heard me, the poms have gone crazy.  This is not a gimmick, and we're definitely not referring to an old McDonald's burger announcing a come back tour, 150 poms will seriously be flying Downunder for as little as 25 aussie dollars! With the help of Qantas Airlines and Tourism Australia, the Brits are booting out their family and friends to Australia just as they did post World War Two when it cost just £10 to migrate to Australia.

I know what you're thinking; this is too good to be true, what's the catch? The only catch is, these tickets are only available to Brits with a valid Australia working holiday visa. That's it - sweet. Tickets go on sale 8am on August 5 at selected UK branches.

To make the Poms feel most welcome, let’s take a moment and relive our top 5 sporting thrashings against them:

1. Ashes Series, we've won the last 9 out of 10 series
2. Rugby Union 2001, Aussie defeated the British & Irish Lions 2-1
3. Cricket World Cup Final 1987, Aussies win by 7 runs
4. Commonwealth Games, Aussies have smashed the metal tally for past 2 decades
5. World Golf Championships 2009, Geoff Ogilvy hammered Paul Casey
