RSS/product Feed Overview
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) in simple terms, is a live feed that sends you up-to-date information as it happens. RSS is a great way of receiving updated data & making sure you're kept updated with the latest information online!
We here at STA Travel use RSS feeds to keep you updated with the latest product offers as they arrive throughout the day!
Be the first to know about the hottest product offers, including our Cheap Flights offers, destinational guides and travel blogs. As soon as they're updated on the STA Travel site, you'll be updated too!
How can I receive RSS feeds?
There are three main ways in which you can receive RSS feeds:
- Download a piece of software called a 'News Reader'. These are available for all computers (many are free) and once downloaded they allow you to easily receive RSS information from websites that offer the service. Just drag the RSS icon to your reader to start getting top offers.
- Some of the newer web-browsers have RSS built-in. For example, Firefox is a browser that will display the live bookmark icon in the bottom-right corner of the window whenever the page has an RSS service. Your browser might also display this icon in the web address bar on the right hand side. Just click this icon to add your RSS feed into your favourites (also called Live Bookmarks).
- Simply click the 'Add to' Google, Yahoo or MSN feed buttons found at the bottom of a paragraph or page (also known as chicklets). A chicklet is a specially coded button that contains the RSS feed information. Clicking on these buttons makes it easy for you to include our offers on your personalised web pages. Give it a try – you can remove it at any time.
