With a total world Panda population of 1,000 (270 of which are in the Shaanxi reserves), there are certainly no grey areas up for discussion.

Includes:
- 2 week conservation placement (extra weeks optional)
- All necessary materials & equipment
- 40 hour Online TEFL course (Teach English as a Foreign Language)
- Hotel accommodation
- All meals
- Airport pickup on arrival
Placement Fee: $2945 for 2 weeks
(additional $740 for every week thereafter)
Project Activities:
- Cleaning animal enclosures: Get up close & personal with the wide variety of animals at the centre!
- Feeding the animals and observing their behaviour during feeding and cleaning times
- General maintenance activities at the park, including plant control and fencing
- Panda research activities
- Helping local staff to develop their conversational English
- Accompany centre staff on rescue outings
- Teach English at the local Lou Guantai School - nursery rhymes and basic English phrases
Based in majestic surroundings at the foot of the Qingling mountains, you'll be working in a Chinese conservation park that aims to preserve some of the world's most endangered species.
They are currently looking after 9 giant pandas at the park, as well as other fascinating species indigenous to China, such as the Golden Monkey, Crested Ibis & the sheep-like Takin!
The park is in a very remote location (just under 2 hrs away from Xi'an city). The region is at the northern foot of Mt Zhongnan, 15 kms southeast of Zhouzhi County, Shaanxi Province.
Working hours: 5 days a week, 6-8 hours per day.
Requirements: Must be 21 years of age or older. CV/resume required before acceptance.
