World Youth Day sydney 2008
World Youth Day (WYD) is the largest youth event in the world!
It attracts young people from all corners of the world - an estimated 500,000 participants are expected to attend at least one event during the World Youth Day week.
WYD 2008 will be held in our very own Sydney Australia, from 15-20 July 2008.

WYD Sydney 2008 will be situated in & around Darling Harbour. It will involve 3 days of festival entertainment and activities from every corner of the globe, featuring a massive line up of live music, dance, film, visual arts, street theatre, workshops and more. They are expecting World Youth Day Sydney to receive over 300,000 visitors during this time, including more than 125,000 from overseas.
World Youth Day happens once every 3 years, and attracts young people from all around the world with an emphasis on culture, friendship & spirituality. Organised by the Catholic Church, the Pope attends WYD for a final mass that attracts people in their thousands.
