Prior to departure from your home country, date changes may be made directly through STA Travel, providing that the changes fall within the conditions/restrictions of the ticket that you purchased. To make any changes to your ticket after departure, you will need to contact the airline directly.
When you contact the airline, ensure that you advise them that your ticket is issued on their ticket stock (not STA Travel's). They will advise if this is possible and any fees that apply.
See notes below regarding E-tickets.
If you have a ticket that allows you to change the dates or route, your receipt will outline these costs - which will have also been outlined at the time you purchased the ticket. The airline will also be able to confirm this when you call them.
In the event that your ticket is lost or stolen, you will need to contact the airline directly so that they can obtain the relevant information from STA Travel in your home country and then reissue your ticket for you. The airlines may charge a fee for this service.
E-Ticket conditions are the same as standard tickets described in the section above with the exception of the loss of a ticket. E-Tickets, by their nature, cannot be lost. All E-Tickets may only be serviced by contacting STA Travel in the country of purchase or by contacting the airline directly.
If you hold an E-ticket issued by STA Travel in the UK, then date changes can be made via the website at statravel.co.uk. You will be contacted in regards to the costs of any charges.
If you wish to reroute or make any other changes to your ticket, or hold an E-ticket issued in any other country than the UK you will need to contact STA Travel in the country of purchase or contact the airline directly.
To apply for a refund you will need to take/send the original ticket back to the branch from which you purchased it. They will then be able to advise you on how long your refund will take to be processed. This is determined by any conditions/restrictions your ticket has. Once your ticket has been received by the branch, any consequent correspondence or questions can be directed to the branch.
