What is it about?

Want to bend it like Beckham? How about studying with the pro’s in Brazil? The learning Football (soccer) in Brazil programme is run by former professional football players and gives young people the chance to improve their techniques and skills.

Courses are held at the Careca Sport Center in Campinas, which is 95kms from Sao Paulo. On arrival you will be assessed through a practical football test and then placed in the appropriate group lesson. Placements can be made for individuals and groups.

Courses run for 1-4 weeks however participants can stay on for 8-12 months. You will need to be between 12-30 and have a relatively high level of fitness.

What will I be doing?

You will attend to daily training session which will improve your technical, tactical and physical conditions.  Training sessions are held twice a day and are coordinated by professional staff and by Edmar and Careca personally.   will also participate on friendly matches, get to know Campinas and Sao Paulo area and get to know the best of Brazilian Football.

What does it include?

  • Daily Football instruction and practice with former professional players (three full time days and two half time days)
  • Full board accommodation (3 meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner) Multi-share bedrooms
  • Tranfer in/out for individuals from Campinas Bus Station to Careca Sport Center
  • Access to gyms, swimming pools and tennis court inside the complex
  • 1Day excursion to Football games, parks and other places chosen by the group, depending on the availability and time of the year. ( EX: Campinas Shopping Mall, Morumbi Stadium (Sao Paulo), Hopi Hari Theme Park, etc)
  • Uniforms (excluding shoes - participants must bring their own shoes, and should take their own towel)
  • Entrance tickets to professional football games in Campinas (if any during the period of the programme).
  • Other excusions may be organised as an extras

Who runs it?

The learning Football (soccer) in Brazil programme is run by former professional football players in conjunction with CI (Central De Intercambio) and Come2Brazil.

Am I eligible?

Participants must be 12-30 years and must undergo a medical prior to applying. A copy of their medical evaluation must be sent with their application.
