What is it about?
The Original London Pub Co was established in 1998 to help kick off your working holiday. TOLPC will organise a hospitality job in an English pub either in or outside of London.
You will be provided with:
- A job sorted before you arrive, in a safe and secure pub
- Live-in accommodation provided as part of the job
- A full-time job with a full wage
- Plenty of time off
- No expensive costs on arrival
- Fellow travellers from around the world as work mates
What will I be doing?
The work is full-time work in a pub involving primarily bar work and also helping out in all areas of the pub operation. TOLPC also have full time positions available for cooks and chefs.
What does it cost?
The cost of the programme is $595.
What does it include?
TOLPC will find you a position that will include:
- Accommodation upstairs in the pub
- Full wage of approximately 135-160 pounds per week in the hand
- All laundry facilities
- All cooking facilities
- Sometimes free meals
- Normally two days off per week
Who runs it?
The Programme is run by The Original London Pub Co established in 1998 with offices in Australia, Canada and USA and operates with 3 staff in London. TOLPC place about 1,000 people a year and have over 500 pubs on their books, both in and outside of London.
Am I eligible?
You must:
- Be aged 19 years or over
- Be prepared to commit to a minimum 3 month placement
- Have a passport or visa that allows you to work in the UK
No bar experience is necessary. Ideally some hospitality experience is useful but not required. TOLPC place many travellers without any experience.
