  1. I don’t want to book online, is it the same price?
    Some prices you view online are exclusive fares that are not bookable in our STA Travel branches or over the phone. So, to make sure your low price is guaranteed, we recommend you buy online as soon as you see the advertised price to confirm the fare cost.
     
    However, if you can't book online, you can call us toll free on 0800 474 400 or pop into your nearest branch. Please note, when receiving personal service from one of our travel advisers we may need to charge a small fee on some airfares, depending on your destination. Your travel adviser will be able to provide you with this information when  you contact us - just ask! 
  2. Do I get a receipt when I book online?
    You will receive an email confirmation of your booking. This will show your GST if it applies.
  3. Which credit cards can I use to pay for my flight?
    You can pay by Visa, Mastercard, or Amex
  4. Can I book a stop-over flight online?
    Stop-overs currently cannot be booked online but give us a call or pop into your nearest branch – our Travel Advisers are experts at putting together the best itineraries, tailor-made for you!
  5. Do I need to pay in full when I book online?
    When booking online we require full payment of your booking. If you need payment flexibility call us on 0800 474 400 or pop into a branch and see what our Advisers can do for you.
  6. Why is a booking I made a few moments ago now not available after I've entered my payment details?
    Because we are presenting the best deals to many customers as they search online, your booking is always reconfirmed with the airline reservation system right before we take any payment from you. This is why, once you have found the best deal, we encourage you to have your credit card and personal details with you and ready to enter. If we cannot confirm your original booking request we will always offer you the next best deal based on your original search. No money is taken from you until you receive the confirmation message and booking reference on your screen.
  7. If I want to travel as soon as possible, can I book at statravel.co.nz?
    When booking online with statravel.co.nz the earliest you can travel is the next day. If you wish to book and travel on the same day please call us on 0800 474 400. Some airfares require a paper ticket which cannot be issued electronically and this takes a little more time to get to you (7 days is generally allowed for). If this applies to your travel you will receive an on screen message after entering your search request and you will need to contact us.
  8. I can’t find any flights for my destination, what do I do now?
    To obtain quote for a destination that can't be booked online please call us on 0800 474 400 or pop into our nearest branch.
