Anyone who speaks English to native standard has the ability to be a TEFL tutor with a bit of training. An i-to-i TEFL certificate allows you to support education systems that are in great need of teachers around the world, and also gives you a worthwhile pursuit and an income while you’re overseas.
You can get your TEFL qualification online or via a weekend course or both. Please note the TEFL weekend course is coming to New Zealand from January 2010 some dates are available to book now.

What will I be doing?
The online TEFL course consists of 10 modules, including one on VCD. This was the first course of its kind and remains the only TEFL course available completely online. It’s invaluable to those who want to enjoy the same quality of teaching and expert support as offered in a live course but prefer to learn, as and when, it suits.

There are three types of online TEFL courses that vary depending on the level of support you are looking for. We recommend you take the 100 hour online TEFL course to give you the best qualification and includes a job placement service!
1. Online TEFL 40 hours - from $490 NOW $340

2. Online TEFL 60 hours - from $580 NOW $420
- As per the Online TEFL 40 hours plus,

3. Online TEFL 100 hours - from $915 NOW $596
- As per Online TEFL 60 hours plus,
- 40 hours in eight specialist certificates,
- Lifetime access to teaching helpdesk, and
- Job placement service.

Am I eligible?
You need to be a native or near native English speaker.
If you’re looking to do an overseas placement you should also be aged 18 years old or over, with a keen interest in travelling or working abroad. You need to be able to demonstrate an ability to relate to and understand a different culture and willing to cope with the difficulties of living in a foreign country.
