From the energetic cities and magical outback, to the relaxed coastal lifestyle and inspiring Aboriginal heritage – Australia is a country of contrast. Sun yourself on the beaches of the Whitsunday’s, or catch a wave on the Gold Coast. Trek through the Northern rainforests as old as the dinosaurs or watch the sun set over the Western Desert. Throw back an ice-cold beer in an outback pub or live it up the vibrant cities!
The largest museum in Australia and one of the most diverse in the world, Sydney's Powerhouse Museum displays everything from science and technology to decorative arts and Australia's history. Of its 400,000 exhibits, only three per cent are on display at any one time. The heaviest - at 200 tonnes - is Locomotive 3830, while the biggest is a Catalina Flying Boat.

Everyone spends a leisurely Saturday chewing the cud, relaxing and checking the stalls, chock-full of second-hand clothes.
Fondly known as "obs spa" by the pampered classes, this perfectly poised Day Spa - at one of Sydney's most famous hotels, the Observatory - aims to iron out the stresses and strains of everyday urban living. With its awesome facilities, it does a pretty good job!
