You will be given information on jobs and accommodation throughout France but the choice is yours!
There are many jobs available in the hospitality or tourism industries. France is also the leading wine producer in the world and if you’re looking for a career in viticulture, international work experience in France could be a great start, also grape picking is excellent casual work! If you have an interest in skiing or boarding, we can highly recommend looking for employment in the French Alps and if you have good French skills there are also many opportunities to further your career, working professionally in France.
Do I need to be able to speak French?
A basic understanding of the French language is required as the arrival orientation is conducted mostly in French and it is important that you understand this information. There are some job options open to you where you can get by with basic French such as grape picking, hospitality work in tourist resorts and ski resorts. However, if you want a career related job or office work, then a high level of French is needed.
If you wish to learn or brush up on your French language skills while your there please ask your STA Travel Adviser about our French Language schools.
