Was a fantastic place to meet others on their travels. You got far more privacy than you'd normally expect to find in a hostel with your own curtained off sleeping areas.

Apart from the awesome fact that breakfast is provided, the hostel's inviting atmosphere makes you feel like hanging out with your mates even more. Even if the shops outside are closed, there's still chance to have fun hanging out at the hostel rooftop where they have facilities like table tennis tables, lounge chairs for sun-tanning and small tables to play board games etc~

Walking in to the hostel you are met with papier mache stalagtites hanging from the ceiling to your left where the canteen area lies and a chap waiting to take your details at the door. It seemed that there was a different person on reception each night!
I loved the art work on the walls (smiley blue fish and dancing women) in multi colour! We discovered there's a roof top terrace with games etc which is lovely! Sadly as it rained for 90% of our stay we didn't get chance to have a bash at the games.
With free internet and a free good hearty breakfast, all you can eat fruit, juice, toast and cereal, we had nothing but smiles on our faces during our six nights here.
The place seemed to be heaving with groups of tourists some of which looked like they were off a school trip and there were some other stragglers there. The place was a melting pot of nationalities, as expected in a place such as Barcelona, but we were far too busy to really settle and acquaint ourselves properly! There is just so much to do in this city!
I found the bed a wee bit nippy at night and I'd recommend travellers to bring a sleeping bag as my sleepsheet did not fare well in September! If I'm honest I'm a bit nesh though!

I had a really easy time getting around using the metro system. It's a great deal to use and gets your anywhere you need to go in the city. The weather was perfect while I was in town and the people were even better. Equity Point did a great job running their facility and I recommend it to anyone who wants a great place for a great price.

The staff were extremly helpful in telling us of good sites to see where to go shopping and the best things to do in barcelona. They also organised a promoter to meet us at the hostel at about 12-1am every night to take us to different clubs where we got free entry and drink deals which made going out alot cheaper! we saved up to 20 euros a night on entry fees.
