Sure, our prices have always been cheap; in most cases, the best in the market. The only difference is now we’re willing to back ourselves - we’re willing to guarantee it.
The STA Travel Price Beat Guarantee is our commitment to providing you with the cheapest airline tickets for International and Round the World flights in the market at all times. We'll beat any genuine competitor airfare quote, subject to the terms & conditions below. And if we can't beat a competitor airfare? We’ll give you $1000 travel credit!#
How this baby works...
- Find an international economy class flight price (excluding Pacific and Trans Tasman) for travel originating in Australia that is available to the Australian general public* from a scheduled airline, Australian registered retail travel agent, online travel agent or travel agent call centre. This guarantee also excludes the low-cost-carrier airlines listed in the terms and condititions below**.
- Before booking your travel, you need to obtain a printed confirmation of the competitor quote on headed paper or equivalent (i.e. print out of the webpage at the final payment stage) complete with an airline booking reference, price, availability, booking conditions, travel dates, number of passengers and date of quote clearly shown. This quote needs to be presented to STA Travel on the same day as the quote was created by the competitor. The Price Beat Guarantee will be valid against the initial competitor quote only. We will not enter into an ongoing price negotiation.
- Visit an STA Travel branch or Call 134 STA (782). Email requests cannot be accepted unless following a phone or branch visit enquiry.
- Provide STA Travel staff with confirmation of the quote. For telephone enquiries you can fax or email the quote to your travel consultant following your phone call.
- Where we believe there to be an erroneous fare displayed by a competitor or the fare displayed is no longer available to book we have a 24 hour period to investigate the pricing. If at this point we prove the fare to be incorrect/unavailable the price beat guarantee will apply to the next valid available fare.
- If STA Travel is able to confirm that the quote is still available to be booked as per the itinerary, we will not only match the airfare but guarantee to BEAT IT!
- The flight must be booked at the time we beat the competitor quote and paid in full on the same day. Normal amendment and cancellation conditions will apply.
- If, for some reason, we are unable to beat a genuine competitor airfare based on the conditions outlined - we’ll give you $1000 travel credit!#
Conditions apply: The Price Beat Guarantee only applies for travel in the same economy booking class, on the same dates, using the same flights and airlines, as the written competitor quote. We do not price match or price beat our own website (www.statravel.com.au). The Price Beat Guarantee cannot be redeemed for purchases online at www.statravel.com.au. STA Travel will not price beat on an existing booking - the competitor quote must be presented to us prior to booking. Infant fares are not eligible for Price Beat Guarantee. *Fares offered to closed user groups are excluded. These include Subscription, Corporate, Membership or Trade/Travel Expo. This offer cannot be combined with any other discount or offer. **Airlines excluded from this guarantee are: Jetstar, Tiger Airways, Air Asia X, Virgin Australia, Pacific Blue & Strategic Airlines. #The $1,000 is available per booking and is awarded as travel credit to be spent with STA Travel. The credit is valid for 12 months from the date of the initial booking. These funds may only be used for travel in the passenger names of the original booking and cannot be used towards another Price Beat.
