What assistance do we offer?
- Before leaving Australia you will receive a handbook with heaps of great job search and employer websites to get your job hunt started.
- Upon arrival the orientation will run through some top tips about working in Canada.
- You will have access to the job notice boards in the resource centres which are regularly updated with new jobs.
- SWAP has great connections with employers, resorts and recruitment agencies to help you out and as a member you will often be given top priority over others applying for the same job
- SWAP can sit down with you and help you format your resume into Canadian style
- Unlimited access to internet, printing, fax and phones to make the job search so much easier
- If arriving in September/October SWAP can inform you of local job fairs taking place for the upcoming winter season The SWAP crew is there to help, no matter what job you’re after…just ask.
Eligibility
Eligibility for the two year Canadia working holiday visa is as follows:
- 18-30 years inclusive at time of application
- Have no accompanying dependants
- Hold an Australian Passport valid until at least six months after you intend to return to Australia
- Have evidence to show access to CAD $2500 if requested by a Canadian Port of Entry Office
