YHA Discount cards

YHA International student card Recommended for full time students travelling overseas: get all of the YHA member benefits such as exclusive access to YHA member rates at over 4000 hostels around the world plus loads of YHA discounts on the things that matter, like transport, tours, activities and attractions.

In addition, you get access to over 41 000 International Student Identity Card (ISIC) discounts worldwide.  

The ISIC card is the only official internationally recognised proof of student status.  

Note: The YHA ISIC card is valid for 12 months and only available to people living in Australia. Card is not refundable.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for an ISIC, you must be:

• A full time student currently studying a minimum of 12 weeks per year, with 15 hours contact time per week.
• Over the age 12 years. 

YHA International youth travel card Recommended for people under 26 travelling overseas: get all of the YHA member benefits such as exclusive access to YHA member rates at over 4000 hostels around the world plus loads of YHA discounts on the things that matter, like transport, tours, activities and attractions.

In addition, you get access to over 41 000 International Youth Travel Card (IYTC) discounts worldwide.

Note: The YHA International youth travel card is valid for 12 months and only available to people living in Australia. Card is not refundable.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for an YHA International youth travel card, you must be aged between 12 and 25 (inclusive). You will need to show us proof of your date of birth with a driver's license, passport or birth certificate.
