The Views


It may require a bit of sweat to see them, but it’s so worth it! If you’re in Cape Town, head to Lion’s Head for unbelievable views of Table Mountain, the Twelve Apostles (obviously not the ones in Australia, South Africa has their own!) , Sea Point, Robben Island and the city centre.

Cape Town


With its richness in culture and history, there’s nowhere quite like Cape Town! Situated on South Africa’s southwest coast and home to the iconic Table Mountain, you know you’re in for some remarkable sights. Don’t worry if hiking isn’t your thing, you can take a cable car to the top instead. Once you’re up there, take in the views with a glass of Cape Town’s finest wine.

Top tip: Don’t leave without visiting the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens –  a tranquil world of pure beauty.

The Big Five


You can’t leave South Africa without getting up close with some of their most popular wildlife; the African elephant, leopard, cape buffalo, lions and rhinoceros. Rawrrrr!

Whale Watching

Johannesburg has fast become one of South Africa’s most iconic and vibrant cities. With over 6 million trees, Joburg may just be the world’s largest man-made urban forest. The city is also home to one of Africa’s main safari destinations, Kruger National Park, you can get up close with the famous Big 5!

The Wine


South African winelands provide the perfect sophisticated day trip! Cape Town’s dry climate provides a home to over 300 vineyards so it’s no surprised they offer a unique variety. Wine lovers will be in their element!

It’s History


South Africa has an incredible story. So if you like learning about history, then head to the Apartheid Museum and the Liliesleaf Museum in Johannesburg to educate yourself on the country’s past.

The Food


South African cuisine has developed over time with influences from Europe and Asia, especially Portugal. Fans of Nandos will be in for a treat. The first restaurant was in South Africa! So it’s no surprised that you’ll expect to find peri-peri chicken on the menus all over the country.



On the very southern tip of Boulders Beach you’ll be able to pop by and say hello to scores of little penguins chilling on the rock or, if they’re feeling a bit more energetic, darting in and out of the chilly waters off the coast of this beach on the Cape Peninsula.
