  • Las Vegas Strip
Hit up one of the craziest strips in the world. It's got casinos, quirky chapels, themed hotels, and an insane amount of places to get your drink on.
  • Red Rock Canyon
Take a hike (or two) around the Red Rock Canyon, and be sure to take your camera along for some Insta-worthy shots of the trails and the vivid-coloured rocks.
  • Great Basin National Park
If it's national parks you're in to, then Great Basin has to be at the top of your list. And if you decide to camp overnight, you'll be rewarded with the most incredible star gazing session, as Great Basin has some of the darkest skies in the country!
  • Reno
Known as "The Biggest Little City in the World", this place packs a punch with a large amount of casinos and luxury hotels, a theme park, and stunning walking trails.

Travelling to Nevada

Although they can be a tad lengthy (you're only flying to the other side of the World!) flights from Sydney or Brisbane give you a couple of stopovers so you can get a little rest on the way over there. The main airport is Mccarran International in Las Vegas, although there are many across Nevada, which could be handy if you're coming from another US State. Flying time from Oz is anything between 18 - 48 hours - think of all the new film releases you can watch in that time!

Best time to visit Nevada

Nevada, believe it or not, is a year round destination. The shoulder season (period between summer and winter) could be considered the best time to travel, with temperatures averaging 25°C , however if you're a winter sports nut, Nevada also has a ski season from the end of Nov through to the first week of May.
